Roy Spagnolo OAM is a qualified accountant who has been in practice since 1972, however, in 1986 Roy established his own accountancy practice, namely Roy Spagnolo & Associates, which continues to operate today in the Fairfield CBD. In 1988 Roy began dealing in the property market and in 1996 commenced property development with the establishment of a successful development and construction company, Brenex Pty Limited.
In 1988, he also became involved with a group of other business associates in establishing the Italian Affair Committee. In his capacity as Board Member and Treasurer, he is passionately involved with this Committee in many ongoing fundraising activities, including providing support for the Spastic Centre of New South Wales and in particular the total development of the Fairfield City Marconi Centre, which caters for the physically disabled. The Committee have also supported The Fred Hollows Foundation, as well as victims of the Bali bombing and the Tsunami victims.
In 2005, he was honoured with an Order of Australia Medal for his services to the community, in particular his passionate work for charity.
