The Paint A Rainbow Foundation is about giving. And we do so with passion, with excitement and with enthusiasm. We believe that to give is the greatest gift of all and we encourage others to share the joy.
Each year the Foundation will raise funds through the generosity of donations and hold major fundraising events. These will include an annual Golf Day, Gala Ball, Race Day and other various fundraising efforts.
To achieve its ambition of providing long-term support to individuals and charities the Foundation has set a target of raising $100 million.
A part of the money raised from all fund-raising events and donations will be distributed to charities and causes nominated by the Foundation’s Board of Directors. The remainder is invested in a mixed portfolio of shares, stocks and property for long-term growth. In doing so the Foundation is ensuring that the dollar donated in 2006 will still be helping others in 2056.
Its inaugural ball in 2006, Dancing With The Charities, resulted in a total of $100,000 being donated to various charities and causes.
The second Annual Gala Ball, Singing For The Charities, which was held in June 2007, saw a total $110,000 donated to a wide variety of causes.
At the 2008 Gala Dinner, held on 20 June, 2008, the foundation donated to various charities listed below:
